Chloé Dufresne

Conductor

French-born conductor Chloe Dufresne began her studies in orchestra conducting at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, where she was unanimously awarded the Advanced Diploma in 2015. Currently she is pursuing a degree in Orchestra Conducting at the prestigious Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, in the class of Atso Almila and Hannu Lintu.

Ms. Dufresne has led and worked with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Helsinki City Orchestra, Pori Symfonietta, Joensuu City Orchestra (Finland); Rousse Philharmonic Orchestra, Burgas State Opera (Bulgaria); Orchestre de Massy (France).
Chloe has participated in masterclasses with renowned conductors such as : Paavo Jarvi, Hannu Lintu, Roger Norrington, Mikko Franck, John Storgårds, Johannes Gustavsson, Jan Söderblom, Eva Ollikainen, Dejan Savic, Johannes Schlaefli, David Zinman, Leif Segerstam, and Eiji Oue.

Ms. Dufresne’s future engagements include a production of Dido and Eneas in Helsinki conservatory in January (2018) ; and she will lead Accentus choir in Rouen Opera, for Cherubini’s Medea in May 2018, working with Hervé Niquet.
Chloé Dufresne is a recipient of the Selim Eskelin Foundation for opera and Fondation Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet pour la vocation.
